Scholarships, no-interest loans, and free financial aid advising.The mission of the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara is to inspire, encourage, and support Santa Barbara County students in their pursuit of a college, graduate, or vocational school education. We do this by offering scholarships, no-interest loans, and free financial aid advising.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Applications for scholarships from the Scholarship Foundation will be available for the 2016-2017 academic year starting October 1, 2015. Students who have attendedat least four of the six years between grades 7-12 at a Santa Barbara County school, will have graduated or received a GED from a Santa Barbara County high school by June 2015, and who have a green card are eligible to apply for aid from the Scholarship Foundation. FINANCIAL & OUTREACH ADVISING

The Scholarship Foundation offers free one on one financial aid advising to students and their families, both in Santa Barbara and at our Santa Maria offices. Call our office for an appointment. You can also look for our Outreach Staff at Back to School Nights, College Fairs, and other community events. Drop by our table and say hello!

SUPPORTING STUDENTS

In 2014, we we able to provide 2,748 awards totaling $8.6 million! Unfortunately, we had to turn away nearly 1,000 students who had the drive, and motivation to attend college but for whom we did not have funding. If you would like to know more about supporting the success of local students, please contact us or make a donation. The awards we provide remind students that this community supports their efforts and wants to see them succeed!
