PARTNERS IN EDUCATION is a nonprofit organization with roots in our community that go back more than 30 years. Partners mission is to connect businesses and individuals with schools and the organizations that serve them in order to help improve public education in ways that support a more vibrant economy, the health of our community and the well-being of local children and their families.Partners engages in a number of programs and initiatives to further its mission of supporting schools, local businesses and the broader community through partnership, collaboration, and volunteerism.
The Volunteer Recruitment and Coordination Program was designed in response to schools needs for support from the community. Partners recruits, trains and places volunteers from our community to strengthen the ability of schools to meet the needs of their students.Career Education has been a primary focus for Partners since 1977, supporting activities that prepare students for local jobs such as: Career Day, mock interviews, job shadows, high school academy programs and guest speakers in classrooms.Click hereto learn more about this program.
COMPUTERS FOR FAMILIES
Computers for Families isan award-winning program that seeks to bridge the digital divide that hinders low-income students from achieving academic success.
PAID JOB TRAINING and STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Provides six weeks of job readiness classes and eight weeks of paid work experience to 60 high school students each year.Our Student Internship and Career Exploration Program seeks to assist disadvantaged youth in finding their own potential by arranging paid internship experiences with local businesses as well as providing training in preparation for entering the work force.Click hereto learn more about this program.

TRANSITIONAL YOUTH SERVICES
Serves the educational needs of students who are homeless or in foster care, throughout Santa Barbara County. The overriding mission of TYS is to do whatever it takes to help remove the barriers to homeless and foster care students accessing and achieving in their education.
