Creating A World Without Type 1 Diabetes. Join our annual walk! The Walk is a fun, active and easy way to help JDRF fund research. JDRFS mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. JDRF is also the worlds largest charitable funder and advocate of type 1 diabetes research.
JDRF Annual Fundraising Walk. Each year, JDRF One Walk brings together more than 900,000 people to change the future of type 1 diabetes (T1D) Many participants have T1D themselves, and many more are friends, family, or coworkers of someone challenged by this disease. But no matter what their connection is, they walk because they believe in a world where T1D no longer exists.
Join us on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Leadbetter Beach, 801 Shoreline Drive for the three mile walk along Cabrillo Boulevard. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the Walk program begins at 10:00 a.m. There is no registration fee, but we do ask participants to support One Walk through their own personal fundraising efforts or with a personal donation. For more information, please contact Genny Bolton, Development Manager for the Central Coast Council, at (805) 448-6924 or [email protected].
