PARTNERS IN EDUCATION is a nonprofit organization with roots in our community that go back more than 30 years. Partners’ mission is to connect businesses and individuals with schools and the organizations that serve them in order to help improve public education in ways that support a more vibrant economy, the health of our community and the well-being of local children and their families. Partners engages in a number of programs and initiatives to further its mission of supporting schools, local businesses and the broader community through partnership, collaboration, and volunteerism.

The Volunteer Recruitment and Coordination Program was designed in response to schools’ needs for support from the community.  Partners recruits, trains and places volunteers from our community to strengthen the ability of schools to meet the needs of their students. Career Education has been a primary focus for Partners since 1977, supporting activities that prepare students for local jobs such as: Career Day, mock interviews, job shadows, high school academy programs and guest speakers in classrooms. Click here to learn more about this program.
