Students leave Santa Barbara Middle School solidly prepared to handle the rigorous academic challenges of high school with enthusiasm for learning, self-assuredness, commitment of service to our local and global communities and compassion and respect for others. Each year Santa Barbara Middle School alumni receive top academic honors and community service awards in both high school and college. SBMS is accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS), National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and the Association for Experiential Education (AEE).
