The Salvation Army After- School Program (ASP) serves school age children (K – 6) who attend school in the Goleta Union and Hope School Districts. The ASP design and structure is a combination of academic support, recreation, and program opportunities provided by The Salvation Army and/or collaborating agencies. Our mission is to provide quality after-school care in a safe, nurturing, and positive environment, encourage and facilitate each child’s growth and learning while helping them to reach their full potential, and collaborate with each family to meet and exceed their needs and the needs of their child. We strive to provide this quality care at an affordable cost.
This 8 week summer program is a wonderful extension of the After-School Program; however it’s expanded to a full day of program activities ranging from arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, group games, guest speakers, outdoor recreation, and off-site field trips. Day Camp is inclusive of our Vacation Bible School program and will teach kids core values based on the Bible. We believe that the love of God is central to a strong family and a well-rounded childhood experience! Contact Mark Ellel at 805-964-8738 (extension 12) for further details regarding ages and program fees.

VOLUNTEER & DONATE

Angel Tree tags can be found at a variety of sponsorship locations (Union Bank, Kmart, Community West Bank, Zodos, Denny’s, and more). In addition we have an Adopt-A-Family program where private sponsors are matched with a specific family in need and provide food, toys, and clothing for that family. Contact Marguerite Covarruvbias or Major Lawry Smith for further details.
