After taking WEV’s Self-Employment Training course, Willa added the business tools to her photography skills to grow Willa Kveta Photography. With her twin girls by her side, she continues to offer exceptional photography to capture the essence of Santa Barbara weddings.

Capturing beautiful images for my clients and when I see how happy they are to receive them

Technically none, but my best friend of 20 years has definitely reached sister status

a Tiger Trainer

What is your favorite sport or exercise routine?

Running on the beach and stairs at City College

The Raven Cafe Coffe Shop (and Babysitting before that)

Definitely being a mom to my incredible daughters

Who or what is your inspiration?

My inspiration comes from all around me - every day

What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment (s)?

I never imagined in my wildest dreams having twins and/or being in a place in my career that I actually feel relaxed and peaceful. I guess this would be it.

What has been your biggest challenge (in life or as a parent)?

Balancing family life and my career

What is your wildest dream (something you hope to do one day)?

Travel the world and help people on a large scale

Believe in yourself and love yourself!

As a parent, going with the flow has been a life saver

What motivated you to start your business?

There are not very many 'Photography jobs' and none that appealed to me, so I started my own

What is the hardest part about owning your own business?

It takes A LOT of time

What is the best advice you could give someone on starting their own business?

I heard someone say once that 'most people quit right before they achieve their goals'. This kept me pushing forward even when the prospects seemed dismal.

What is something you would like to share

Owning my own business is both rewarding and challenging, but it keeps me interested, involved and constantly learning, which I love!
