Camp Y sport clinic themes include Aquacamp, Nature Camp, Turf & Surf, skateboarding, tennis, Coast 2 Coast soccer, t-ball, cycling, Club West youth running, kayaking, beach volleyball, standup paddling, bicycling, engineering with Legos, ceramics and art.
Junior Lifeguard registration day is Saturday, April 17, 8-9:30am at Cabrillo Pavilion Bathhouse, 1118 E. Cabrillo Blvd. Program is for ages 9-17 and runs M-F, 10:30am-2pm, June 28-August 13. Enjoy a world-famous, nationally-affiliated, and disciplined training program of swimming, running, competition, and education. This very popular program includes strenuous daily workouts, water safety, first aid, surf lifesaving, marine education, lifeguard competitions and more. Physical fitness and development are balanced with self-esteem and camaraderie. Strong swimming skills a must. All new participants are required to pass a non-competitive 100-meter swim in 2:20 or less, a 15 yard under water swim, and 4 minutes treading water. Testing will be conducted Saturday, May 8.

Depending on the season, you can sign up your team for softball, basketball, soccer or indoor and beach volleyball leagues. Register your team or you are encouraged to register as an individual player. We do our best to place you on an existing team or place you on a newly created team. Adult sports leagues: softball, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and tennis lessons.
The City of Santa Barbara ADAP Teen Coalition is committed to reducing underage drinking in the community. Teens from local high schools come together to make the community safe and drug free.
ADAP plans and sponsors community and youth speak outs, leadership conferences, and provides an opportunity for teens to voice their concerns while developing their leadership skills.

The Children’s Fiesta Parade will be celebrating its 81st year in 2011. The public is invited to view this delightful parade on Saturday, August 6, starting at 10am. The Parade proceeds down State Street, from Victoria to Ortega Streets
A favorite event during the week-long Old Spanish Days Fiesta Celebration, the parade is organized by the Parks and Recreation Department and serves more than 2,500 children and their families each August. At the parade’s conclusion, all participants receive free ice cream.
There is no cost to participate. Contact the Children's Fiesta Parade Headquarters at 564-5495 to have an application sent to you, click here for an application and instructions, or stop by the Carrillo Recreation Center, 100 E. Carrillo Street Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm to pick up one. Applications will be available May 10. Application deadline: Friday, July 8.
