Royal Family Kids Camp - SB & Ventura County

OVERVIEW

RFK is a residential summer camp for abused, neglected and abandoned children.

RFKis part of the nation’s leading network of camps for abused, abandoned and neglected children. RFK is a residential summer camp where, for one full week, children in foster care can experience wholesome affection, undivided attention, and unconditional love.

Campers enjoy hiking, swimming, horseback riding, zip-lining, bug- & lizard-catching, bike riding, skateboarding, singing, dancing, participating in skits, roasting marshmallows around a campfire, hearing Bible stories, playing sports and other outdoor games, engaging in any of nearly 50 arts & crafts activities, and more. 

SANTA BARBARA

RFKC of Santa Barbara has been serving children in Santa Barbara County since 2001! We look forward to creating positive memories with 32 campers this summer. Campers will experience boat rides, swimming, a climbing wall, crafts, and a birthday party celebrating everybody’s birthday! More importantly, campers will be surrounded with caring adults to listen to them and encourage them! 

VENTURA

Since the summer of 2001, Royal Family Kids’ Camps of Ventura has worked to offer hope and create positive memories for children in foster care in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

Fear, uncertainty, and disruption have become normal for too many abused children, but YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. This summer loving and compassionate volunteers will come together to create an oasis – a full week of relief where 48 boys and girls can feel deeply loved, cared for, and affirmed by truly caring adults in an environment that is fun, encouraging, and safe.

GET INVOLVED

Do you feel a tug in your heart to serve abused children at our local camp? Are you interested in making a donation or participating in one of our local fundraising events? There are many ways that you can help create a positive memory in the life of a child!

• Pray for the campers, counselors and staff
• Donate needed supplies for activity centers, dress-up, sports, birthday boxes, etc.
• Make a tax-deductible donation to fully sponsor ($500) or help support a camper
• Assist with camper registration at church (2-3 hours)
• Help at the Everybody’s Birthday Party at camp (8-9 hours)
• Volunteer at the Welcome Home Banquet at church (4-5 hours)
• Serve one week at camp as a counselor or staff (minimum age is 16)
