Providing the highest level of violin, viola, cello, and guitar instruction
The Suzuki Violin School of Santa Barbara provides the highest level of violin, viola, cello, and classical guitar instruction, for the beginner (starting at age 3) to the advanced player.
Director Valerie Malvinni has been teaching violin and viola since 1998, and is a professional violinist and violist who performs with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Currently she teaches violin, viola and ensembles at the local colleges.
We invite you to visit our website (www.suzukiviolinsb.com) and inquire about our Suzuki school and program. We are currently accepting new students. Valerie also teaches high school, college and adult students who are seeking technical training, Suzuki, and/ or new repertoire beyond Suzuki.
In addition to individual lessons, we hold monthly group classes that inspire and motivate the students. We also have at least 3 recitals a year and many other performance opportunities and masterclasses.
Valerie began her early training with the Suzuki Method. She is a Curtis Institute of Music graduate and received her M.M. from University of California, Santa Barbara. Valerie became Suzuki-certified when her children were ready to begin lessons.
She began The Suzuki Violin School of Santa Barbara out of her love of teaching and to share her expertise with your children.
We are also a one-stop-shop. Together with her husband, Valerie owns and operates Santa Barbara Stringed Instruments, located downtown SB. We can help you with a rental or purchase of a violin, viola, cello, doublebass or guitar at all levels. We look forward to meeting you. www.sbstringedinstruments.com
